Biomass Transportation
A new area of our business is hauling biomass to the power station at Cramlington using walking floor trailers.
We started trading on 1st October 2005, as DRenton & Sons (Alnwick) after identifying a need for local aggregate supplies and tipper hire to people mainly in the building, construction and agricultural markets in the Alnwick and surrounding North Northumberland areas.
In September 2018 I bought David and Peter Renton out of the partnership and a condition of sale was not to use the Renton name. Hence Rock Haulage was born to carry on and expand the business.
We still do the full range of tipper hire and aggregate supplies as before, including the supply of decorative gravel. We also have a fleet of up to 8 articulated wagons working on a biomass contract, all from our base just north of Alnwick.
